Lara moved from her long time home in Indianapolis, Indiana to Fairfax, Virginia in November 2005. In the Midwest, Lara created the commedia troupe, i Scandali, which continues to perform in the SCA and at faires in the Midwest. Other favorite arts of hers include playing the cello in her dance band, Musica Subteranea, experiencing dance and music in any way possible, extensive puppetering, and performing anything that allows for wacky humor. Professionally she is a beltway bandit in Washington DC, consulting the US military on environmental matters.
