Jay
Cross [Sept 26 2002]
The
Spanish woman is our invention. She is usually
the Capitano's [sister, jilted bride, mother,
or camp follower]. She has some power over the
Capitano, and so is usually not seen by him
until the end of act three. She has his accent,
and an appreciation for manly men. Often, during
acts one and two, she is a cross-dresser.
