The weirdest phone call I ever got was when [Mike Bergman] and [Mike Yoder] called me one morning asking for the measurements between my breasts in order to make the cadeuceus. My boyfriend was there, so he helped me with the tape measurer. That was a unique moment.

"The Fake Magician" was my first shot at directing; it surpassed my expectations and was well received, but there were a few hair-raising moments during the preparation. In retrospect it might have been wiser to try something simpler for a first time, but all's well that ends well. I was impressed by the fact that it felt more like directing professionals than amateurs.
